Outdoor Climbing

Adaptive outdoor climbing in Ontario is run in partnership with On The Rocks Climbing Guides.

Since we first reached out to owner, Leslie Timms, she and her team of guides have been stoked to support adaptive climbing and have stepped seamlessly into the team. Between On the Rocks Climbing Guides and CACS volunteers trained in adaptive climbing techniques, we are able to provide high quality outdoor climbing programs that are safe, fun and challenging. Climbing Locations

Metcalfe Rock – Collingwood, Ontario

Metcalfe is our favourite location for its excellent limestone climbing, beautiful scenery and relatively short and flat approach “hike”. The majority of our programs happen at this location. Be prepared for a full day of driving, hiking, climbing, adventure and of course, be sure to grab butter tarts from the Ravena Country Market for the ride home.

Rattlesnake Point – Milton, Ontario

Closer to home, Rattlesnake point is another great location for climbing. Within an hour drive of Toronto is this large band of escarpment cliff with loads of great climbing options. The crux of this location is the staircase guarding the base of the cliff. Our programs include a large group of volunteers that are more than happy to support climbers both up and down this staircase. If this approach or level of support needed is not something you are comfortable with, this location may not be right for you. Please ask if you would like more info.
